on Saturday May 3, 2008. As this new and exciting event takes shape, and as our
local marine based economy grows steadily each year, it’s a wonderful time to be
involved with our community and help our town grow. There is no doubt that boat
building is an integral part of our local heritage in Eastern North Carolina,
and as such, we believe it should be a focal point in our mission as a growing
world based company to engage and help our local marine based businesses
succeed.
In 1964
entrepreneur, international business man and founder Karl Heinz Möhring started
Atlantic Veneer along the banks of Taylor’s Creek in Beaufort, NC. From that point he rarely missed an
opportunity to expand and improve Atlantic Veneer and AV Plywood.
Mr. Möhring
was not only making a name for himself in the forest products industry, but his
keen awareness of the coming global economy and changing technologies allowed
this company to diversify, grow, and help support and sustain an entire
community. From these beginnings, and with a renewed spirit, the Atlantic Veneer
Mill Outlet is growing and is now a part of the Möhring Group.
The purpose
behind the Atlantic Veneer Mill Outlet was to develop a compatible hardwood
lumber and plywood business that would allow our local community to take
advantage of a fast growing global economy. Now, together with Atlantic Veneer,
AV Plywood and sister sales and manufacturing companies in
Estonia,
Germany, Poland, and Russia, we belong to a family with one of the
world’s largest one-stop resources for manufacturing and sales of imported and
domestic hardwood products. Together, our resources and international
connections give our customers a unique opportunity to be creative and to order
virtually any hardwood product you can imagine with just one phone call.

The Atlantic Veneer Mill Outlet is a wholesale supplier of hardwood lumber and
plywood specializing in Teak and Mahogany lumber and plywood; marine lumber and
plywood; hardwood lumber, plywood, sheet veneer, and edge banding for cabinet,
furniture, DIY, hobby, and specialty crafts. Partnering with Atlantic Veneer and
AV Plywood, we are the largest local supplier of hardwood lumber, hardwood
plywood, and sheet veneer serving Eastern North Carolina.
Lumber
Species available from stock are Ash, Basswood, Cherry, Cypress, Genuine
Mahogany, Hickory, Juniper, Maple, Poplar, Red Oak, Sapele Mahogany, Teak,
Walnut, and White Oak. Many thickness, widths and grades are available. Special
orders are welcome.
Plywood
Species available from stock are African Mahogany, Aromatic Cedar, Birch,
Cherry, Douglas Fir, Hickory, Knotty Pine, Maple, NC Pine, Premium MDF,
Melamine, Okoume, Red Oak, Teak, Teak and Holly, Tropical, Walnut and White Oak.
